Hello,
The Images Subgroup of COGA will be working on the following goals for the 6-week sprint:
* Rain and John will review current designs. They will compare to find the appropriate patterns in Making Content Usable.
* They will present this at the subgroup meeting on May 5.
* Kyle and Pamela (designers) will clean up the current files based on feedback received during the April 21, 2023 meeting.
* The file will be ready at the end of the 6 week sprint.
* By the end of the 6 week sprint the group will have an idea of what the close-ups will be.
Summary of the April 21 meeting:
* The designers presented a much simpler design. This helped the group further come to agreement on final changes needed.
* Conversation focused on:
* How to visually distinguish items within a group of items vs clickable elements.
* Font justification and its impact on readability.
* The word “Read” can be a verb (act of reading) vs a completed task (I already have reviewed this).
* Arrows can communicate different things. Use with consideration of different meanings:
* “this is actionable” – example: use this to do more things, like follow a link.
* “this is an accordion” – selecting this will reveal/display more information.
