   Finished writing the outcome for simple sentence structure in our working
   draft

   Debated "clauses within clauses" versus "nested clauses" versus
   "multiple dependent clauses." Decided to shift the emphasis to expressing
   "one idea per sentence."

   Debated when to include examples in the outcome versus when to link out
   to examples from other organizations, such as PlainLanguage.gov.
   -

   Started discussing 3rd outcome about literal language and implied
   meaning. Some in the group asked whether this outcome needs to cover emojis
   and other nonverbal elements; will resume the discussion at next meeting.
