Topic 1 from today's accessibility guidelines working group

Hello,
During today’s AG/Accessibility Guidelines Working Group meeting there was a discussion in Topic 1 that will be of interest to COGA.
It is about user generated content being included as part of the 3rd party discussion – where accessibility standards apply, and who is responsible.
I brought up the point of public comments entered by citizens as part of the legislative process. I want to be sure that people with cognitive disabilities don’t accidentally get excluded from providing input on key decisions for their governments if there are certain requirements that prevent their comments from being entered. There are ways that this can be addressed, but want to be sure the use case is considered.
When it came to the voting, I put a qualification that I requested that COGA get a chance to review proposed language.
David Fazio brought up other great points about the impact on small businesses.
I believe the decision is for the subgroup working on this language to go back and keep working on this.
Full conversation is in the first topic of the meeting minutes.
Just a note to be sure people are aware of what happened and can have a chance to review if they choose.
Thanks,
Jennie
