Google have announced 3 new quality metrics that indicate user experience.

Of these Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) measure how much the layout 
moves/changes on initial display.

This appears on first sight to be particularly relevant to coga and some 
of the design patterns. The others will also impact user stress and 
frustration to some extent.
