John Kirkwood and myself have be working through his Wayfinding issue papers looking for potential patterns. Here is the list of titles, hopefully self explanatory, although the normal template pattern would be filled out with details. We can discus during the net Coga TF meeting. - Allow user to prepare for and review the entire route and next step - Provide landmarks that can easily be be recognised - Provide cardinal directions (ie general or global) - Facilitate reorientation when get off the route - Support awareness of distances Notes: - Indoor: many more stimuli - Outdoor: larger demands on memory - Other patterns like reducing distractions and personalisation apply as always Steve
