Glossary terms

Hello,
Thank you for your feedback in the Google doc (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AuM-06Alk5VgVgFPTsJD2DcadIrcGIRVDcNgFwPiQRc/edit#heading=h.s8ws6uvinp0s) and during last week’s COGA call.
Abi and I have worked together to add your feedback into the proposed glossary definitions for the terms:

  *   ADHD
  *   Autism Spectrum Disorder
  *   Brain Injury
  *   Cognitive and Learning Disabilities
  *   Early Stage Dementia
  *   Executive Function
  *   Intellectual Disabilities
  *   Learning Disabilities
In regards to “Cognitive and Learning Disabilities” the suggestion was made to remove “and learning” from the glossary item so it is just “Cognitive Disabilities.” Abi and I discussed this and have a few proposals:

  1. Abi proposes we have a separate entry explaining the remit of COGA which we have found doesn’t seem to be defined clearly anywhere
  2.  I proposed we have:
     * a glossary entry “Cognitive and Learning Disabilities (COGA)” in reference to the task force, and
     * Have a separate entry each for “cognitive disabilities” and “learning disabilities.”
Once the group confirms these 8 terms and decides the course of action re “Cognitive and Learning Disabilities” as a glossary term, work can begin on the remaining terms.
Thank you, and special thanks to Abi for her work this week on the glossary.
Jennie
