Reviewing the ETSI "Design guidelines for cognitive accessibility to mobile ICT" draft deliverables

A while ago I notified the Cognitive A11Y and the Mobile A11Y Task Forces about the "Design guidelines for cognitive accessibility to mobile ICT - final phase" workshop<http://tinyurl.com/cognitiveworkshop2016> organised by ETSI Special Task Force STF488<https://portal.etsi.org/STFs/STF_HomePages/STF488/STF488.asp%20/t%20_blank>. Several people expressed an interest in remotely participating in the workshop.

We appreciated the interest and seriously considered allowing remote participation, but decided that we wanted to retain the flexibility and effectiveness that can only really be achieved in a face-to-face workshop (e.g. in our first workshop in Stockholm we split into sub-groups and the sub-group findings were presented back to the whole workshop). In our experience it is almost impossible to achieve the same dynamics in a workshop that has a combination of face-to-face and remote participants.

In order to allow more people who have an interest in the topic to have a look at and comment on our draft, I've copied the relevant links to the draft documents and to the commenting mechanisms below:
* The Draft ETSI Guide<https://docbox.etsi.org/HF/Open/Latest_Drafts/DEG_203_350_V008.pdf> (containing the guidelines) and its online commenting<https://www.tfaforms.com/422757> form<https://www.tfaforms.com/422757>. For those who prefer to fill in comments offline, there is a separate comment form<https://docbox.etsi.org/HF/Open/Latest_Drafts/Commenting_Form-EG.docx> document.
* The Draft Technical Report<https://docbox.etsi.org/HF/Open/Latest_Drafts/DTR_103_349_V008.pdf> (on the background and approach to the work) and its online commenting form<https://www.tfaforms.com/422759>. For those who prefer to fill in comments offline, there is a separate comment form<https://docbox.etsi.org/HF/Open/Latest_Drafts/Commenting_Form-TR.docx> document.
We encourage you to look through our two deliverables and to provide us with your comments and suggestions. When we receive your comments we will consider each one carefully and use them to help us to improve our documents.

We are at an advanced stage in our work (although still expect to add some more guidelines) so we have to set a commenting deadline of 19th May (NOTE: Any comments received before 10th May have the potential to influence the focus of the workshop).

Don't forget, completing and sending in comments on the documents will allow you to have some influence on the final outcome of our work, but only those attending the workshop (in person) will be able to take that further and contribute to how some of the most important issues get resolved. If you want to make a last-minute decision to attend we can still take one or two more interested people.
