Hi Lisa and All, Overall, I think that intro has great info, but is significantly too long. In my opinion, we have to keep thinking about reader interest. We may lose it quickly because of a long intro. I suggest that most of the intro content should be summarized to help shorten the intro. Also, again in my opinion, the following is our salient point. “Accessibility has typically been based on the assumption that any content can be made accessible. However when making content useable for people for people (sic) with disabilities, the content itself may need to be changed or support adaptability.” To make it clearer, perhaps we could use the following version. “Accessibility has typically been based upon the assumption that any website can be designed to be useable by people with disabilities. However, when making a website useable for people with cognitive disabilities, the content itself may need to be changed (e.g., simplified), or support adaptability (e.g., multi-modal delivery).” John John Rochford<http://profiles.umassmed.edu/profiles/display/132901> UMass Medical School/E.K. I tried to get strait out the gate some examples of where people with disabilities may need extra help, so that if people only read a small amount they will have something to think about. The I had an introduction to the challenges and how we went about solving the challenges. Please take a look at it for this weeks call. The idea is to have our ideas consumable by the W3C.
