Hi JohnI understood that the paper gave some of the problems with both Iot and Wot. But I could have it incorrect. I suggest we summarize what we have (with it's correct name) and propose a new issue paper for anything that is missing, such as a seprate WoT issue paper. If this doesn't work that we can discuss it on tomorrows call. All the best Lisa ---- On Sun, 17 Jan 2016 19:15:58 +0200 Rochford<john.rochford@umassmed.edu> wrote ---- Hi Lisa, As you know, you asked me to add, to our Gap Analysis Summary, a summary of our Web of Things (WoT) issue paper. However, our WoT issue paper addresses the Internet of Things (IoT). The WoT and the IoT are not synonymous. Wikipedia defines them as the following. “The Web of Things (WoT) is a term used to describe approaches, software architectural styles and programming patterns that allow real-world objects to be part of the World Wide Web.” “The Internet of Things (IoT) is the network of physical objects, devices, vehicles, buildings and other items which are embedded with electronics, software, sensors, and network connectivity, which enables these objects to collect and exchange data.” So, my questions are: · Why are we addressing the IoT in our WoT issue paper? · Why are we not addressing the WoT in its own issue paper?
