Here's some additional interesting information on this topic. The British Dyslexia Association has published a list of typfaces designed for dyslexia - some are purchasable, and some are publisher-only fonts. In a recent study of good fonts for dyslexia, they found that the Open Dyslexia font didn't improve reading speed, but that was the only dyslexic font they tested. The other fonts tested were standard fonts, not specially customized for dyslexia. They were speaking with Henry Winkler (Fonzie from Happy Days TV show). He (a dyslexic) wrote a book for kids using a type developed/inventer by a Norwegian father that uses weighted type. This is for dyslexic children, but apparently the type face is much easier for all users to read. We need to find out what typeface this is...... * katie * Katie Haritos-Shea Senior Accessibility SME (WCAG/Section 508/ADA) Cell: 703-371-5545 | ryladog@gmail.com | Oakton, VA | LinkedIn Profile | Office: 703-371-5545
