I put your question to Gemini and it provided some useful pointers, including a list of projects with neuroscience databases. One challenge is being able to access papers  behind pay walls, as is typically the case for scientific journals.  You can often find preprints to download from bioRxiv and arXiv.  There are plenty of old papers and (text) books, and you may be able to get cheap previously-owned copies.
