Re: [EXT] Feedback on browser plugin idea

Advertisements are a primary source of cognitive overload—by design. As a regular user of Reader View to hide advertisements, I frequently wonder how far we can go toward any solution that decreases the cognitive impact of ads before there'll be industry pushback. Are tools that simplify content tolerated now simply because they’re not widely used?

> Hi COGA Community Group, I'd like to start a collaboration with a local university to develop a browser plugin able to hide parts/areas of the websites in order to help people to focus just on some parts of the page. I mean like if there is a website with Ads on the side maybe you'd like to hide them to focus on the main content. Or maybe just to hide images in websites, but also letting you decide if you want to hide some of them instead of just all of them. Things like that. I'd like to develop something really flexible and customizable. I'd like to hear your feedback on this idea to know if you think it can be useful or useless, or if you already know some kind of software that allows you to hide/show areas at the user's will 🙈 Any help will be appreciated, thanks! Have a nice day!
