Hello COGA Community Group, Thank you to all who attended today's community group meeting. We had an excellent conversation about the value of synchronized and recorded captions from a cognitive perspective. *Rin* took notes and will be putting them up in our notes document <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VsHS-oQDR7XY87E91sd-zqYaq8DCH9Ppwf9YeqCNcks/edit#heading=h.k9pqorhlxh0n> at some point later today. *Aditya, Lee, and Szu *volunteered to draft a report to share with the community group. I mentioned I would put the three of you in touch, but I don't have Lee's email address. Lee, if you can email me directly, then I'll put the three of you in touch with each other. Otherwise, you can also find each other on Slack. Speaking of Slack, *Aditya *created a Slack channel for us <https://join.slack.com/t/w3ccogacommunitygroup/shared_invite/zt-yl8jf674-q5LLFh~aqY3X4T~Goo~unw>. This space can be used to engage asynchronously, even if you are unable to attend the meetings. I promised the group links to recordings from the W3C conference, TPAC. All of the breakout sessions can be found here <https://www.w3.org/2021/10/TPAC/breakouts.html>, but here is a shortlist of sessions that have a particular relevance to cognitive accessibility: - Cognitive Accessibility: user needs to specifications (Recording <https://watch.videodelivery.net/eb447afe926335ee0e4b09088e28051f>, Slides <https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-archive/2021Oct/att-0007/COGA_Content_Usable_for_TPAC_2021.pdf>, Minutes <https://www.w3.org/2021/10/21-cogapanel-minutes.html>) - How to work with the Cognitive Accessibility Task Force (Recording <https://watch.videodelivery.net/4d3ef336b1cd5208c18ac2befecc93db>, Slides <https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-archive/2021Oct/att-0004/How_to_work_with_COGA_Presentation_TPAC2021.pdf>, Minutes <https://www.w3.org/2021/10/19-cogainclusion-minutes.html>) - Personalizing the Web for Better Accessibility (Recording <https://watch.videodelivery.net/d752c762aaa710f62f4686cc5571e033>, Slides <https://raw.githack.com/w3c/personalization-semantics/tpac-2021-talk/talks/2021/tpac/index.html?full#start>, Minutes <https://www.w3.org/2021/10/18-personalization-minutes.html>) - Accessibility for Children (Recording <https://watch.videodelivery.net/9d00b8b82e792fdc479d0f138c31e589>, Slides <https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-archive/2021Oct/att-0006/TPAC_2021_Accessibility_for_Children.pdf> ) Finally, unfortunately by sending out the meeting URL to try to help everyone get unblocked from joining, I accidentally compromised it. We will have to have a new one generated. We will work this out before our next APAC-friendly meeting on November 17 at 02:00 UTC (November 16 for AMER). Warmly, Rain
