Dear fellow participants of the task force, The primary output of the task force was a recommendation to the W3C management of twenty or so group deliverables that are best candidates for advancing work to the Recommendation Track [1], within the next six months and beyond. I took into account feedback from the June AC Meeting breakout session [2] and further recommended ways for CGs to perform better [3], including development of discovery and tracking tools, and completing the known UX and infrastructure improvement proposals. The W3C management approved the projects with the caveat that resource estimates were preliminary. If the management discovers that it's more expensive than expected, then it might have to reverse the decision. The whole exercise was deemed useful, it will be conducted annually as business as usual. I propose to disband and close this mailing list. I will update the wiki [4] to reflect recent developments and closure of the task force. Please, let me know, within a week if you object. I invite those of you who are interested in CGs and BGs operations to join the existing Community Council which mission is to promote and enhance CGs: http://www.w3.org/community/council/ Best regards, Coralie [1] slides 3-7 http://www.w3.org/2013/Talks/cm-0718-cg2wg-woods/ [2] https://www.w3.org/2013/06/11-ac-day2-minutes#Headlights [3] slides 10-13 http://www.w3.org/2013/Talks/cm-0718-cg2wg-woods/ [4] http://www.w3.org/wiki/CG2WG -- Coralie Mercier - W3C Communications Team - http://www.w3.org mailto:coralie@w3.org +33643220001 http://www.w3.org/People/CMercier/
