This has changed to:
'In XHTML, <object> elements are, by default, focusable and participate in 
the focus traversal. However, conforming WICD user agents must remove 
child content from the focus traversal, if the <object> element's child 
<param> element is set to the attribute name="focusable" and the attribute 
value="skip".'
