Dear Anne, Thank you for your feedback on the Compound Document by Reference Framework 1.0 draft. The CDF group has considered your comment and agreed to change the conformance section in order to satisfy your comment. The old section stated that conformant user agents _must_ implement DOM Level 3 Core and Event interfaces. This has been relaxed in accordance to your comment by stating that conformant user agents which support scripting _must_ have scripting interfaces which are _compatible_ with DOM Level 3 Core and Event interfaces. This change allows subsetting of the DOM as you requested. I hope this addresses your comment to your satisfaction. If you have any further comment to make on this topic please respond to this message within two weeks from now. On behalf of the CDF Working Group, thanks.
