Clarifying the CDF

Dear Compound Document Formats Working Group,

The Working Group homepage http://www.w3.org/2004/CDF/ has not been
updated for more than two months now. According to your Charter you
should have published "use cases and requirements for future work" in
November 2004. I was unable to find such a publication, did I miss it?

Further, you are supposed to publish 'First drafts of "Combination by
Reference" specifications' this month; since there does not yet seem
to be such a publication, will it be published before the publication
moratorium?

Assuming these early milestones have not and will not be delivered on
schedule, how does that impact the overall schedule of the Working
Group? Could the Group publish a more realistic roadmap to allow non-
members to properly plan for the deliverables of the Group (e.g., for
implementation considerations and to allocate resources for reviews of
the deliverables)?

The Charter further states

[...]
The Compound Document Formats Working Group communicates with the
public through the public-cdf-discuss mailing list. This list is
open for public discussion and archived. The Working Group may send
public summaries of the technical work to this list on a regular
  basis.
[...]

While there does not seem to be a public-cdf-discuss mailing list,
does the Working Group plan to make use of this opportunity? If so,
when should we expect such summaries?

I ask in particular because after reading the Activity Statement, the
Working Group Charter, and the Working Group homepage, I do not really
have an idea of what one should expect from the Working Group and how
it fits, along with its deliverables, into the Interaction Domain in
the long term. Maybe now that the Working Group worked several months
on its deliverables, the homepage can be updated with more detailed
information on these matters?

Thanks,
