WG Decision: Transition of Canvas2D Context to Candidate Recommendation

> If there are no objections by Tuesday June 23, this resolution will carry.

The only concern about this CfC was Philippe's suggestion in [1] that Section 12 Hit Regions be marked at risk during the CR stage. No one commented on or objected to that proposed change to the SOTD.

Since we did not receive any objections to this CfC, this CfC passes and we will proceed now to request that the W3C Director approve the move to the CR stage WITH the SOTD modified to indicate Section 12 Hit Regions is marked At Risk.

Subject: CfC: Request transition of Canvas2D Context to Candidate Recommendation

In accordance with both the W3C process's requirement to record the group's decision to request advancement [1], and with the steps identified in the "Plan 2014" CfC [2], this is a Call for Consensus
(CfC) to request transition to CR for the following Canvas 2D Context specification:

                http://www.w3.org/2015/06/2dcontext.html

For reference, only a few minor comments were received during the previous Last Call [3] for this document [4].  All of these except one editorial bug [5] have been processed and we expect [5] will be resolved before the CR is published.

The SOTD states:

"For this specification to exit the CR stage, the conditions detailed in the CR Exit Criteria (Public Permissive version 3) document will have to be met. An implementation report for drawFocusIfNeeded and addHitRegion is currently in progress. The understanding is that 3 test cases (2.19, 2.20, 2.21) still need to be produced and tested before moving to Proposed Recommendation. The complete implementation report is also available."

Silence will be taken to mean there is no objection, but positive responses are encouraged. If there are no objections by Tuesday June 23, this resolution will carry.

Considerations to note:

- A request to advance indicates that the Working Group believes the specification is stable and appropriate for implementation.
- The specification MAY still change based on implementation experience.
