Hi Ted and Ryosuke, The Canvas Accessibility Sub Group has been working on Section 10 [1] of the Canvas 2D spec to create a clear method to inform the user of the location of fallback elements based on the current path. We renamed drawSystemFocusRing() to drawFocusIfNeeded() [2] and made a number of clarifications to the processing steps and interaction with Accessibility APIs. Drawing custom focus indicators has been moved to Level2. We would appreciate any feedback you may have on this work, which was completed by the Canvas Accessibility Sub Group between 12 Dec 2013 and 27 Jan 2014. All bugs relating to this section have been closed [3]. Documentation is available on the Canvas Accessibility Sub Group wiki [4]. You can provide your feedback on this list (public-canvas-api) or join us on Monday at 6:00PM Boston time. Meeting details are available on the Canvas Accessibility Wiki [5] Mark Sadecki [1] Drawing paths to the canvas http://www.w3.org/html/wg/drafts/2dcontext/html5_canvas_CR/#drawing-paths-to-the-canvas [2] drawFocusIfNeeded() http://www.w3.org/html/wg/drafts/2dcontext/html5_canvas_CR/#dom-context-2d-drawfocusifneeded-- [3] Canvas Accessibility Bugs http://j.mp/1hGWiDK [4] Canvas Accessibility Sub Group Meeting Minutes: https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/Canvas/Meetings/Minutes [5] Canvas Accessibility Wiki https://www.w3.org/WAI/PF/HTML/wiki/Canvas#Canvas_Sub-Group_Meetings_.26_Minutes -- Mark Sadecki Web Accessibility Engineer World Wide Web Consortium, Web Accessibility Initiative Telephone: +1.617.715.4017 Email: mark@w3.org Web: http://w3.org/People/mark
