Hi, Folks- This is a mailing list dedicated to the Canvas API, a drawing interface brought into the W3C as part of the HTML WG. The initial proposal is limited to a 2D immediate-mode drawing interface. There is substantial interest in tightening up the specification of the Canvas API, and extending it in limited ways, such as defining a manner for the drawing API to be used in SVG as well as HTML. While there are already extensions to the API to allow 3D drawing, the primary goal of this list is to promote the timely and efficient publication of and interoperable 2D Canvas API as close to existing implementations as possible. This list is intended to serve as a dedicated thread for matters specific to the Canvas API and its intersection with other DOM interfaces and with markup.
