Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
Chairs,

The Browser Testing and Tools Working Group Charter [1] is hereby
extended until 31 March 2021.

The mission of the Browser Testing and Tools Working Group is to produce
technologies for automating testing of Web applications running in
browsers. The group’s primary deliverable is the WebDriver specification:
   https://www.w3.org/TR/webdriver/

The group is in the process of rechartering for new work that includes a
WebDriver BiDi specification, which extends WebDriver by introducing a
bidirectional communication mechanism; in place of the strict
command/response format of WebDriver, that BiDi mechanism permits events
to stream from the user agent to the controlling software, better
matching the evented nature of the browser DOM.

More information about this group and information about participation
can be found on its home page [2].

The group is currently chaired by David Burns (W3C Invited Expert).

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact
Michael[tm] Smith <mike@w3.org>, Browser Testing and Tools Working Group
Team Contact.

This extension follows section 5.2.5 of the W3C Process Document:
   https://www.w3.org/2020/Process-20200915/#charter-extension

Thank you,

For Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director,
