Mobile Web Application Best Practices
<francois> [9]Next steps on MWABP
[9] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-bpwg/2010Sep/0006.html
first item: email from Francois re all comments received
francois: 2 replies so far
... 1 from Eric and 1 from Francois, waiting for 2 more replies
Dan: not quite ready to resolve to finish up
francois: we need to give folks 1 more week to reply & re-comment
Dan: waiting until next week to wrap up seems proper approach
Guidelines for Web Content Transformation Guidelines
Dan: moving on to CT business, talked to Jo over weekend & he seems
upbeat about CT
... anyone aware of any other implementation reports in the
pipeline?
Francois: none known
Sean: not having a whole lot of luck, but
... but we might be able to do an implementation report on our
client/server system
Dan: clarify issue pls?
Sean: it is more because we are now a part of Nokia and our CT
server is kind of a legacy thing now
Dan: that sounds better than nothing, we have 1 implementation
report (dotMobi) which is not totally in scope
Sean: I'll explore what it takes to get this done, thinks could
produce something and group could decide if appropriate
... I'll find out this week if I can get someone to do it
Dan: also trying to get someone at Vodafone to work on this
Dan: asks Jeff if aware of academic implementations... Jeff: nope
Francois: discussion of some possibilities... a real proxy would be
better
Dan: will ask Jo status
Francois: we have some time pressure, must make final decision next
week
Dan: any feedback from Google folks?
Adam: sent email out last week, will send another one
Dan: urges Google implementation be included... Adam: agrees
Any Other Business
Dan: worried about approaching deadlines
... we may need to apply for another extension to get the work done
properly
Francois: it is okay for MWABP if the doc is published as a Proposed
Recommendation by then
... the problem will be getting extension for the Guidelines if no
positive news to show
... must happen or be dropped by Oct
Dan: let us close the call and get the work done
meeting adjourned
(waves goodbye)
