If this was 13.30 CET then I guess I've missed this one. I had a meeting with the CEO that over-ran. I promised to get back with info about SVG/Canvas and mobile for Bruce (http://www.w3.org/TR/mwabp/#d1e1612). What we have so far is that: Basically in Opera Mobile, SVG support is on par with desktop, for the equivalent rendering engine version. The same for Canvas I believe. For Opera Mini, SVG support is also on par with desktop for the equivalent rendering engine version with an exception related to transitions and animations: "The server sends the page when [the rendering engine] tells it everything is loaded, an SVG image could be loaded, but still have an animation running, we won't know it, so we send the page at that instant. Most times the images sent will correspond to one of the first frames of the animation. For canvas it also corresponds to desktop with the following exception: "The main difference being that we will stop javascript execution after a short period of time, so expensive drawing functions might not have time to complete before we send the page to the client." I'll have to check for things like SVG fonts. I'll follow up on that. David On 10 Mar 2009, at 12:28, Appelquist, Daniel, VF-Group wrote: > Thanks Dom for that timely intervention.
