Hello Mobile Web Fans, The Mobile Web Best Practices Working Group is still working hard to try to make the Mobile Web user experience better; the latest fruit of our work was just released as a first public working draft: http://www.w3.org/TR/2006/WD-mobileOK-basic10-tests-20061113/ mobileOK Basic Tests 1.0 is a follow-up on the mobileOK scheme document we released back in July; it focuses on what we used to call mobileOK level 1 and which is now known as "mobileOK Basic", defining a level of basic quality we think are necessary to a functional user experience through a set of tests a page need to pass to be marked as mobileOK Basic. We still have to refine some of our tests and solve issues left open on existing ones - most are highlighted in the text itself; meanwhile, we're very much interested on feedback on the general direction of the document, esp. on whether we're setting the bar too high or too low with these set of tests. Please send your comments and suggestions to public-bpwg-comments@w3.org if you want them to be formally addressed by the Working Group, but feel free to also discuss this more informally on this very mailing list. Regards, Dom
