Dear Dominique, Thank you for your quick answer. Yes, I am trying to get other people's view on the introduction of e.g. target, before posting to www-html-editor. Actually, I have other remarks regarding XHTML Basic 1.1 and XHTML Modularization 1.1, but I try to post them by order of importance and after external discussions, since it is quite rare I get a response when posting on www-html-editor. I am glad to see that some people do share some of my concerns. Cordially, Alexandre http://alexandre.alapetite.net -----Message d'origine----- De : Dominique Hazael-Massieux [mailto:dom@w3.org] Envoyé : vendredi 28 juillet 2006 15:17 À : alexandre@alapetite.net Cc : public-bpwg@w3.org Objet : Re: XHTML Basic 1.1 and the "target" attribute Le vendredi 28 juillet 2006 à 14:27 +0200, Alexandre Alapetite a écrit : > Dear members of the Mobile Web Device Description Working Group, FWIW, your message was sent to the Mobile Web *Best Practices* Working Group, rather than the Device description Working Group (which can be reached at public-ddwg@w3.org). Meanwhile, I think your question is also relevant to this list. > So, what do people from the Mobile Web Device Description Working Group think about the "target" attribute in the XHTML Basic > 1.1 proposed recommendation? The BPWG is in the process of developing comments on XHTML Basic 1.1; part of these comments concern the re-introduction of the target attribute (although there isn't yet a consensus decision on the exact content of the said comments), much in the same line of the questions you're asking. I don't see comments from you on this particular topic on www-html-editor; are you refraining from commenting based on the input from our groups? Thanks for the heads up, in any case. Dom
