Hello Mobile Web Fans! As you may have seen on the top of the W3C Homepage today, the Mobile Web Best Practices working group has published its first public draft document, what we’ve called a “scope document”: http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/WD-mobile-bp-scope-20050901/ <http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/WD-mobile-bp-scope-20050901/> This document refines the scope of the group a bit from the published charter to explicitly define what the group is working on for phase one, including a problem statement and a definition of “one web” as it applies to this problem space. I very much encourage everyone on this public list to read this draft and feed back to this list (public-bpwg@w3.org <mailto:public-bpwg@w3.org> ) with comments, suggestions, rants, etc… These will be all be reviewed by the group and incorporated into the next draft of this document, which in turn will influence the best practices document itself, a draft of which we hope to have available soon.
