i have not even tracked browser support and i am pretty sure that it is
less than ideal, since the RFC is only a few months old (though it
existed as a draft for a long time). it depends on what would like to
recommend: what people should consider or at least keep an eye on
because it is a standard, or only those things which work reliably
across the current landscape of browsers. i tend to recommend standards
even if support is spotty, because things change and recommendations can
help to change things, but that really is a matter of personal taste.
