Inital Meeting -- Biomass Open Origin Standard for Tracking (BOOST) Working Group

Greetings BOOST,

I'd like to schedule the initial meeting of the BOOST working group
<https://www.w3.org/community/boost-01/>. We are challenged to coordinate
across many time zones and schedules and I would like to make participation
as easy as possible. To that end, we will record meetings and facilitate
participation and decision making asynchronously as much as possible. That
said, I'm hopeful you can join the initial meeting where we will discuss:


   - Why BOOST?
   - BOOST Charter
   - Draft BOOST data standard
   - Group process

🪏 Also, if you have not done so already, please take a moment to create a
W3C account and join the working group. You can join the working group by
following the W3C joining instructions below. We will be consolidating
communications to the membership of that group following the initial
meeting, so If you'd like to stay engaged please take a moment to sign up.


   1. Get a W3C account <https://www.w3.org/accounts/request> (if you don’t
   have one).
   2. Be aware of the copyright and patent
   <https://www.w3.org/community/about/process/summary/> policies that
   govern contributions to any Specifications.
   3. For Community Groups, there is no fee involved..
   4. Push the “Join” button for the BOOST community group.(
   https://www.w3.org/community/boost-01/).
   1. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to log in.
      2. If you already have an account but don’t know your affiliation (
      e.g., your employer), it will prompt you to update your account.


What you see after pushing the “Join” button depends on the affiliation you
have declared in your user account. This is because joining a group
involves agreeing to the W3C Community Contributor License Agreement (CLA)
<https://www.w3.org/community/about/process/cla/>. Below we describe the
joining process for different affiliations.
