Hi Pete, Thanks for the response. However, rather than pushing this to later in the year, could you add the one property url that links to the home page of the dataset (you have the data in the human facing page)? This would allow consumers of the data to link it together with other sources about the dataset. Further to our discussion on https://docs.google.com/document/d/1odrRZYyCboUQwoNy7wQRkj_4bZsJjIg-RxejJ1IjIvY/edit#<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1odrRZYyCboUQwoNy7wQRkj_4bZsJjIg-RxejJ1IjIvY/edit> I think we should revisit this later in the year. We've spoken about this with you and Identifiers.org a few times and, if I recall correctly, as Identifiers.org received funding for this work, I was going to wait to see how they implement the schema and then we would use that as a basis for implementation in the new FAIRsharing front-end. As we're redesigning FAIRsharing at the moment it doesn't make sense to spend time on this right now. I'm happy to talk about this more offline once we are at the implementation stage. I expect that will be September time. Best, Pete ________________________________ From: Gray, Alasdair J G <A.J.G.Gray@hw.ac.uk> Sent: 08 June 2020 10:01 To: public-bioschemas@w3.org <public-bioschemas@w3.org> Subject: Feedback on Markup in FAIRsharing and Identifiers.org Hi I was looking at the updated markup in FAIRsharing and Identifiers.org. It is great to see these updates. The main problem that I have is that neither site has linked back to the source dataset which they are describing. In both cases I looked at the entry corresponding to DisProt. https://fairsharing.org/FAIRsharing.dt9z89 https://registry.identifiers.org/registry/disprot I would have expected the markup to have a property value pair of the form “url” { “@type”: “Dataset”, “@id”: https://disprot.org/#2019_09 } The need for this value is to enable consumers of the markup to be able to connect the entries in FAIRsharing and Identifiers.org with the sources of the data.
