Hi Dan, indeed. VariableMeasured was added to schema.org dataset profile following the discussions with NIH BD2K Biocaddie project [1], which developed the DATS model [2]. There we used the notion of 'Dimension' as to encompass the whole range, without restriction or perceived restrictions.
