Dear all, We cordially invite you to the public launch [1] of the BigDataEurope project [2] (Coordination and Support Action under the European Union's Horizon 2020 programme), to be held Rue Montoyer 47, Brussels, on *27th February 2015, from 10:00 to 15:00*. [1] http://www.big-data-europe.eu/big-data-europe-project-launch/ [2] http://www.big-data-europe.eu/ BigDataEurope aims at developing a Big Data Platform based on requirements identified with stakeholders from these seven H2020 societal challenges: Climate, Energy, Health, Transport, Social sciences, Food and Security. The consortium will engage with these communities to identify their big data technology needs, to design and realize the required ICT infrastructure and support the use and deployment of the platform - maximizing the opportunities of the latest European RTD developments, including multilingual data harvesting, data analytics, and data visualization. As a representative of our target communities, we are very interested in hearing about your big data challenges and needs. As a project stakeholder, you will have the opportunity to influence the platform's design to your advantage, by reflecting the requirements of the entire community. We look forward to your participation. Please register online at http://www.iais.fraunhofer.de/bigdataeuropelaunch.html and feel free to circulate this invitation within your networks! In case you are not able to attend our launch event, we are keen to stay in touch.
