User defined metric spaces in BIG DATA

Hi all,

Quantitative data are a relevant part of BIG DATA. It is possible to provide quantitative data systematically in searchable and interoperable form on the web. Metric spaces are a natural means for this because all elements of a metric space have a well defined distance. So it is possible to sort the search result according to distance (similarity search). Moreover metric spaces can be used to subdivide (BIG) quantitative data according to interest.

Everyone who is interested in interoperable and efficiently searchable quantitative data is invited to join

and to contribute. Comments and questions are welcome.

Thank you.
