Hi All, It has been an overly long time since there was traffic on this mailing list. There was the global pandemic issue, which took out most of a year, which has thankfully subsided for many although unfortunately not for all. Then on my part, the demands of client instigated work left little time towards making visible advances in Bibframe2Schema developments. Fortunately, some of that client work has made significant use of the shared Bibframe2Schema technologies and approach; to develop and regularly update a production knowledge graph containing data from over 1.5 million Marc records, and reconcile them with data from other sources also mapped to Schema.org. Although not visible over the last few months, experience with that project has lead to enhancement of the core Bibframe2Schema SPARQL script, and its optional supporting schemaise.py script. Along with lots of little tweaks, significant enhancements to the bibframe2schema.sparql <https://github.com/RichardWallis/bibframe2schema/blob/main/query/bibframe2schema.sparql> script include: - Entity creation from madsrdf topic types. - Mapping ComplexSubjects to schema:DefinedTerm entities with associated schema:about relationships. - Optional parsing of the components of a ComplexSubject into individual subject entities with associated schema:about relationships. - Representation of Hub entities. - Parsing of bflc:name00MarcKey values to create enhanced Person representation including sameAs relationships derived from $1 tag. These enhancements significantly expanding the scope have been reflected in an update to our Github repository <https://github.com/RichardWallis/bibframe2schema> which I have labeled V2.0. The Bibframe2Schema.org <https://bibframe2schema.org/> site and its Comparison Viewer <https://bibframe2schema.org/compare> function have been updated to V2.0. I would welcome discussion and comment on these updates.
