Hello everyone! At our last meeting, the Blockchain CG discussed re-convening after one month, to review any blockchain-adjacent problems that people had raised, and to start thinking about possible solutions that blockchain technologies might offer for the Web Platform. I'd like to schedule the next meeting for Wednesday, November 20th, at 9:00 AM Pacific time. Like last time, we will record with Google Meet, and post the video links / transcripts on Slack afterwards. During the meeting, we can plan on discussing the "Statement of Blockchain-Adjacent Web Platform Problems" document I've drafted, and as mentioned, start to talk about potential ways they might be addressed through new web standards. As always, we're also open for any other points to be raised by members of the group, and we will give everyone the chance to speak. We will maintain a focus on the Web Platform, and how blockchain can best serve to solve the problems it faces, which is the aim of our group. If the members in attendance have consensus, we might also plan to adopt the drafted Statement as an initial place to work from, and proceed on that basis. At the end, depending on what we discuss, perhaps we will have another open period, a public call for solutions that are able to address the stated challenges. I think it's wise that we ensure everyone has the opportunity to make proposals for solutions, and put them before the group, before further (potentially more focused) discussions around what standards might be necessary. Thank you for your participation in this group. I would encourage you to attend the meeting, join the W3C Slack channel, and invite others to participate. The Google Meet link we will use on November 20th at 9AM PST is: https://meet.google.com/nhq-jvcs-ycp See you there!
