My initial, probably over-hasty, response is (2), based on my clinging
to the WebArch story as I am inclined to explain it to undergraduates:
A 200 response means the representation you're getting pretty much
reconstructs the resource.
Only the [page with one link per chapter] representation from Bob
satisfies that condition, the others don't, so he's being a bad boy.
I'm not yet persuaded by DanC's lores jpg analogy, but I might change
my mind. . .
Need more time to consider whether there are other columns I might be
willing to tick.
