RE: Invitation to join the Automotive Web Payments Task Force

Hi. Ian.
Thanks for invitation!
It's interesting topic to me so I would like to join the group. For the kick-off call unfortunately I am not sure I can join the call because that is in between the most longest thanksgiving holidays in Korea. But after that time I will be happy to join the weekly call. Thanks!

Kind regards,
Wonsuk.

Subject: Invitation to join the Automotive Web Payments Task Force

Dear Participants in the
Web Commerce Interest Group and
Automotive and Web Platform Business Group,

It is our pleasure to announce the launch of the

   Automotive Web Payments Task Force
   https://github.com/w3c/automotive-pay/wiki

The mission of the task force is to support streamlined and secure Web payments from connected vehicles.

At various times over the past couple of years, the Business Group and Interest Group have organized discussions to elevate automotive payments use cases within W3C. Our goal in launching this task force is to create an ongoing forum for participants from these groups to gain a better shared understanding of use cases and how the Web could help meet industry needs.

Rodrigo Meirelles (WEX), Ted Guild (W3C), and Ian Jacobs (W3C) are leading this joint initiative on behalf of both groups.

The first teleconference of this task force is Thursday, 5 October from 9:00-9:45am ET. An agenda and call information is available:
  https://github.com/w3c/automotive-pay/wiki/Agenda-20171005

During the call we will review a draft "charter" for our work:
  https://cdn.rawgit.com/w3c/automotive-pay/gh-pages/charter.html

We will also discuss preparations for a face-to-face session that will take place the morning of 9 November during W3C's TPAC meeting [1]. The Chairs of the Business Group and Interest Group will establish the time of the meeting and update each group's agenda. We are building the agenda here:
 https://github.com/w3c/automotive-pay/wiki/Agenda-20171109

To help us plan, we would appreciate if you let us know on this thread of your plans to join this call, or if somebody else from your organization would like to attend. If you cannot join the call but are interested in the task force, please let us know.
We can adjust our weekly call time once we have a sense of who participates actively on an ongoing basis.

On behalf of Rodrigo Meirelles and Ted Guild; Ian Jacobs, W3C Payments Lead
