Hi Paul,

Thanks very much for the update. Adam and I would be keen to be involved and to support and contribute where appropriate

[We have been a little quiet recently, as we have both been unusually busy with our day jobs :-), but see this is a very important initiative and it would be great to get wide and deep support and contributions from across the industry...

Kind Regards,

Kev

All,

We had a good kickoff meeting today for the RSI Task Force. Notes are here https://www.w3.org/2017/04/05-auto-minutes.html thanks to Ted. (Thank you Ted!!).

I have updated the RSI Task Force Wiki<https://www.w3.org/community/autowebplatform/wiki/RSITaskForce> (https://www.w3.org/community/autowebplatform/wiki/RSITaskForce) with the links that were shared as well as some additional verbiage. Please take a look and provide feedback/edit as appropriate.

The main takeaways from today’s meeting are as follows:

  * Implementing services using the RSI protocol and learning/validating through implementation is the primary focus.
  * Aligning the various standards bodies and reuse is very important and will be kept in the forefront. In particular, aligning with LBS from GENIVI was discussed.
  * Meetings will stay at the same time in the short term and occur weekly until AMM in May.
  * Name of group will stay the same for now.

Action Items

  * Ted to create/provide repo on W3C GitHub for this group.
  * Patrick to extend Mock Server for Media
  * Every to get familiar with VIWI and related specs.
  * Sanjeev will offer development time on clients.
  * Paul to update wiki (done)
  * Paul to send out invite for future meetings.

Please respond with any comments, additions, questions, etc...
