It has already been mentioned by Peter that the term "data lake" does not well describe the cloud storage on which we are using it.
Comments from colleagues at Geotab has been that the term has a negative connotation in a privacy context.
So I propose we should rename it.
The question is then to what?
I do not know, but I throw in two proposals to trigger a beauty contest: Best looking proposal wins!
