Hi Ulf, I took an action to review Core spec's Introduction for this week's call. https://raw.githack.com/w3c/automotive/gh-pages/spec/Gen2_Core.html#introduction Together on call we can discuss what needs to be included in introduction to explain what this is at a high level yet remain succinct. What I think we need to cover in the introduction: * Explain what 'Gen2' is, service for accessing vehicle signals (and potentially other data models) * Where it is likely to be deployed - in-vehicle and indirect against data in cloud * Identify it as a successor to VISS, what it adds in brief (REST, security...) * Need a name soon and stop calling it Gen2, deferred earlier interested in others' opinions. Then include the distinction between Core and Transport you have and finally a bit more on Core. The same intro can be used for both documents with the last paragraph or so focused on Core and Transport respectively. I can take a pass on wording after we agree on broad points. -- Ted Guild <ted@w3.org> W3C Automotive Lead https://www.w3.org/auto
