In the access restriction tagging discussion at the WG meeting yesterday a number of use cases were mentioned, together with possible solutions, e. g. app manifests, configurations, etc. I think we should be careful with introducing more new concepts than necessary, and instead first analyze whether it can be supported by the concepts we already have introduced in Gen2. So I would suggest that we list the use cases, and try to see if/how they can be supported by the infrastructure and functionality already introduced before we start a discussion of adding any new. Related to this I have created https://github.com/w3c/automotive/issues/322 about access restriction tagging. Which is only needed if we want to be able to set different access restrictions to different signals. Assumed by me, but I cannot recall seeing a written use case requirement on it...
