Re: Changing Auto-WCAG meeting time?

Hi, Wilco,
Just to be clear, I am not proposing to have two mirrored meetings with similar agendas like the AGWG has, I am proposing two or three alternating times so different people could at least participate in every second or third meeting rather than none, and hopefully some would be able to do all – after all it is easier to sacrifice family or work time every two or three months, maybe.

Just my 2 cents.

Hey Stein Erik,
I've thought about the alternative meeting time. The reason I'm proposing this instead is because I'm concerned about splitting the group. AG has recently set up a second meeting time, and it seems like very few people are actually attending both meetings. I don't think there are enough active participants to fill up two groups either.

Hi,
I will not be able to attend 8pm meetings, but since I haven't been very active that's fine. Generally I would suggest we have alternating meeting times to allow participants from different time zones to attend without sacrificing family (or work) time.
I also second Kaspers suggestions to try to enable work between meetings to increase active participation across time zones.

If moving the meeting time forward allows for more people to participate then that is of course something I fully support. I will however not be able to participate I'm afraid. If we get a process in place where much of our work can be done asynchronously then my own and others' lack of participation in the meetings might be of less importance though :-)

It's outside of work hours for the Europeans, which some may not be too keen on, but on the other hand it would also let us avoid the problem we have now, that often EU participants can't join because of regular work meetings.
