As the most vocal anti-scheduling-over-Halloween protester in the past: I have given strong feedback that I will not be missing Halloween with my daughters (ages 4 and 9, and Halloween is the biggest holiday of the year for the 9-year-old). I continue to give the feedback to the W3C Staff, publicly and privately, that forcing me to choose between my family and standards is not going to go well for standards. :) That said - by happy circumstance, the Santa Clara Convention Center (I'm presuming it is again near there) is ten miles from my house - closer, in fact, than my office. I expect to duck out in late afternoon on Halloween (which is on the Friday of TPAC week, when others are likely heading to the airport anyway), but I will attend. Were it being hosted in a different location, I'd be skipping the last day, at least.
