Dear all, The minutes of our teleconference on 17th April 2014 are online: http://www.w3.org/2014/04/17-audio-minutes.html This was the second part of our joint AudioWG/Tag meeting, reviewing the issues and comments from the review by the TAG of the Web Audio API http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-audio/2014AprJun/0021.html We discussed: * Layering - https://github.com/WebAudio/web-audio-api/issues/257 Domenic gave more details about what it would mean. We declined to go to deep into details given missing key people. * Promises - https://github.com/WebAudio/web-audio-api/issues/252 seems like a good idea to be promise-compatible, Domenic offered to send two PRs for decodeAudioData and offlineContext.startRendering() * Constructors and Subclassing Agreement that Subclassing is next big thing on our plate - a clear use case for Web audio. Domenic gave details of benefits of constructors and their importance if we ever want to tackle subclassing. Olivier wants to know group’s opinion about whether there’d be an impact (confusion) in keeping the create methods. CfC to come. * F2F The next full-group f2f will be TPAC (just before Halloween) but Chris offered to host a spec-editors get together before that. * Next meeting 2 weeks from now would be 1st of May - isn’t that a holiday in a lot of places? It appears not to be for me in the UK, but suspect it is at least in France. Tentative. **** Summary of (new) Action Items [NEW] ACTION: olivier to check our preferences for TPAC are for nor overlap with AB [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2014/04/17-audio-minutes.html#action03] [NEW] ACTION: Olivier to migrate demo-list to HTML, split learn/showcase [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2014/04/17-audio-minutes.html#action01] [NEW] ACTION: olivier to organise CfC for constructors [recorded in http://www.w3.org/2014/04/17-audio-minutes.html#action02] Best, -- Olivier ----------------------------- http://www.bbc.co.uk This e-mail (and any attachments) is confidential and may contain personal views which are not the views of the BBC unless specifically stated.
