Summary: Use startTime / endTime parameter names for AudioParam
automation methods
Product: AudioWG
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
URL: http://www.w3.org/2012/08/22-audio-minutes#item03
OS/Version: All
Status: ASSIGNED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Web Audio API
AssignedTo: crogers@google.com
ReportedBy: olivier.thereaux@bbc.co.uk
QAContact: public-audio@w3.org
As discussed during the teleconference on 22nd August 2012:
http://www.w3.org/2012/08/22-audio-minutes#item03
«
Tony: about the distinction between start and end time
… would it make sense to refer to those instead of a generic "time" parameter
name
CRogers: sure, it could be called startTime / endTime
Tony: would help for people using for the first time
CRogers: would seem OK
»
The change would affect the prose and IDL for the AudioParam automation methods
in http://www.w3.org/TR/webaudio/#methodsandparams-AudioParam
but would merely make the methods clearer. No functional change.
