Hi everyone, Thanks for signing up to the Audio Description Community Group [1] public mailing list. [1] https://www.w3.org/community/audio-description/ Audio Description Community Group If you have not already signed up to join the group itself, but have only subscribed to the list, I would encourage you to please go through that process too: subscribing to the email list is not the same as joining the group. I'm happy to help if you have any difficulties. It looks quiet round here… what's happening at the moment? Yes, it does! I'm waiting for the group membership to stabilise before kicking off the activity, so as to leave as few people behind as possible; there are some folk I expect to join who have not yet done so. What can we do now? In the meantime we will need at least one Editor to look after the documents, so if you would consider being an Editor, please let me know. Alternatively I could be an Editor, but then I would want to hand over Chairing to someone else, so if you want to Chair but not Edit then also let me know. What about a meeting? One other thing: we have missed the official deadline for requesting a meeting at the W3C's annual get-together, TPAC 2018, which this year will be held in Lyon, France, 22-26 October 2018. W3C Community Groups can hold 2-hour meetings on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. The available slots will be: 8:30 - 10:30 10:30 - 12:30 13:30 - 15:30 15:30 - 17:30 I do not know if there are any free slots but if there is an opportunity to hold a meeting, and you'd like to attend, please let me know – I can ask.
