Shane,

We have link to several inspectors on our Wiki page:

Thanks for the feedback. And yes, I think wrapping the current code in a loop driven by the HTTP listener makes a ton of sense.

"inspect.exe" was part of the Windows SDK. It is a tool to inspect the A11Y API of the system. I was wondering what the Windows 10 equivalent is and where to find it.

Hi!

I’ve taken a look at the your link and it makes sense. There’s nothing there that strikes me as a problem for our existing ATTA code – although I am not fully ramped up on it.

We’d have to add some code to support the handshake (start, ready etc) and the returning of results to the format it is expected to be in.

Something we would also need to add to our ATTA is the ability to be ready for another test once one has been completed. Currently it is designed to be run once against 1 test. Solving this could be as simple as wrapping our entry point in a loop after we’ve implemented listening on localhost.

RE: inspect

Not sure which inspect you’re talking about? Browser inspect element?

Also, on a very related note, what is the Windows 10 equivalent of "inspect" and where can I find it?

We surely can... from my prespective anyway. I would like to have Stanley (hi Stanley!) review the changes I made to https://www.w3.org/wiki/ARIA_1.1_Automated_Testing#Proposed_Architecture<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.w3.org_wiki_ARIA-5F1.1-5FAutomated-5FTesting-23Proposed-5FArchitecture&d=CwMFaQ&c=8hUWFZcy2Z-Za5rBPlktOQ&r=REZD8fc2AwufInstfW3L5jSLVS8bjZtAodDOhat7yAI&m=STfroz3Y9YOmWoZwVK0otxpxMjucCy0vt9jDb0ResN4&s=60jOC4RRj_FX-30DwgvbnWZu3cL9tTFh9zOnjgO3nPA&e=> and let me know if it makes sense.

These changes include a definition of how the HTTP dialog with the local AT Shim (now cleverly renamed ATTA for Accessible Technology Test Adapter) might work. I am mocking this up now locally to write the driver and would like feedback.

From everyone of course, but especially from Microsoft since you have a thing already that we can be talking to.

Note that our placeholder space for wai-aria tests is now in the WPT repo at https://github.com/w3c/web-platform-tests/tree/master/wai-aria<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__github.com_w3c_web-2Dplatform-2Dtests_tree_master_wai-2Daria&d=CwMFaQ&c=8hUWFZcy2Z-Za5rBPlktOQ&r=REZD8fc2AwufInstfW3L5jSLVS8bjZtAodDOhat7yAI&m=STfroz3Y9YOmWoZwVK0otxpxMjucCy0vt9jDb0ResN4&s=_TG7g_ddCiUeVnmPOS--XDsadrzs6GpgxUsOZ_TSf48&e=>

I have been playing with a proof of concept library that will talk with the ATTA. I hope to have something reasonable to report on that at our meeting later.
