Dear Sir or Madam, I hope this email finds you well. Firstly, I would like to extend my gratitude for the valuable work you do at w3.org in ensuring a more inclusive web. I am writing to inquire about the Dialog (Modal) Pattern, specifically in reference to the following link: https://www.w3.org/WAI/ARIA/apg/patterns/dialog-modal/ . Additionally, I have observed an example of this pattern on CodePen: https://www.w3.org/WAI/ARIA/apg/patterns/dialog-modal/examples/dialog/ My question pertains to the behavior of the modal when interacting with it. Currently, when I click the trigger button to open a new modal, I find that I cannot close the modal by clicking outside of its boundaries. The only available methods for closing the modal seem to be either by using the ESC key or the provided Close button. I would greatly appreciate it if you could clarify whether this behavior is intentional and conforms to best accessibility practices. In particular, I am interested in understanding if preventing users from clicking outside the opened modal aligns with recommended accessibility guidelines. Thank you for your time and expertise in this matter. I look forward to your valuable insights. Best regards, Marjo
