Subject: 48-Hour CfC: Core-AAM 1.1 to advance to PR

This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to the ARIA Working Group regarding advancing Core Accessibility API Mappings 1.1 to Proposed Recommendation.

Spec: https://www.w3.org/TR/core-aam-1.1/

Implementation report: https://w3c.github.io/test-results/core-aam/

As you will see, we have results for all platforms: ATK, AX API, IAccessible2, MSAA, and UIA. The results for ATK, AX API, MSAA, and UIA are all confirmed as having met the Candidate Recommendation exit criteria. Confirming the results for IAccessible2 is pending due to programmatic errors in the associated ATTA. Because manual testing will be required to confirm the results for IAccessible2, and is rather time consuming, I am issuing the CfC now for Working Group consideration.
While the Working Group considers the question at hand, I will work towards confirming we do indeed have the passing IAccessible2
implementation(s) we think we have.

Action

This CfC is now open for objection, comment, as well as statements of support via email. Silence will be interpreted as support, though messages of support are certainly welcome.

If you object to this proposal, or have comments concerning it, please respond by replying on list to this message no later than 17:00 Boston Time, Monday, 23 October 2017.

For objections only, please copy the main public-aria@w3.org list to allow technical discussion of the objection to happen there.

Process

This CfC is conducted per the ARIA WG decision policy:
