We are extending the original Call for Consensus (CfC) to the ARIA Working Group on the question of approving the proposed Personalization Task Force. The draft Work Statement can (once again) be found here: https://www.w3.org/WAI/ARIA/task-forces/personalization/work-statement. Background Regarding the Extension The original CfC was sent out on 31 July [1], along with a link to the then-available draft Work Statement. Unfortunately, a couple of days later, the draft Work Statement went missing [2]. Those who responded with comments about the proposal itself responded favorably, and no one has indicated that they felt uncomfortable responding without first reviewing the draft Work Statement. Nonetheless, we need to give everyone the opportunity to review the draft Work Statement before responding. Therefore, the CfC is being extended to 14 August from the original 7 August. Action This CfC remains open for objection, comment, as well as statements of support via email. Silence will be interpreted as support, though messages of support are certainly welcome. If you object to this proposal, or have comments concerning it, or need additional time to review the Work Statement, please respond by replying on list to this message no later than 12:00 Boston Time, Monday, 14 August 2017. For objections only, please copy the main public-aria@w3.org list to allow technical discussion of the objection to happen there. Process This CfC is conducted as per the ARIA WG decision policy: https://www.w3.org/WAI/ARIA/decision-policy [1] https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-aria-admin/2017Jul/0000.html [2] https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-aria/2017Aug/0011.html
