Hi Richard, Thanks for your efforts to take this proposal forward. State Archives NSW is currently using schema.org terms to describe government digital archives and would welcome the inclusion of more domain-specific terms to the vocabulary. We would adopt these terms in our descriptive practices and would seek to make them available for online discovery as well. I had just said to myself (the problem & joy of working from home on your own!) that I would make myself another coffee and then start collating the messages of support and intention for the proposed archive based enhancements to submit them in support of a renewed effort to get the proposal accepted. I expect to submit something to the Schema.org lists over the next few days. If anyone else wishes to add their message of support, there is still time if you are quick. ~Richard Richard Wallis Founder, Data Liberate http://dataliberate.com Linkedin: http://www.linkedin.com/in/richardwallis Twitter: @rjw On 17 July 2018 at 08:46, Adrian Stevenson <Adrian.Stevenson@jisc.ac.uk<mailto:Adrian.Stevenson@jisc.ac.uk>> wrote: Hi Richard Any news/ideas on next steps with this? Stanford University Libraries have worked on ArcLight, which is an open source discovery platform for archives. We're hoping to 1) roll it out as a product locally, ideally over the next year, and 2) add Schema.org markup to improve discovery. It's also intended to be a broader community solution, and potentially suitable for consortia to adopt. > > In addition, I'm part of the (North American) Archives and Linked Data working group that wrote and presented a poster at DCMI regarding the proposed extensions and the gap analysis we did regarding existing descriptive standards and the extension. I'm hoping that my colleagues from the group will be able to share some additional discussion on potential implementations/applications that they're working on. > > Cheers, > Mark Jisc is a registered charity (number 1149740) and a company limited by guarantee which is registered in England under Company No. 5747339, VAT No. GB 197 0632 86.
